Chef Sita
Sitarani Palomar is the Culinary Program Director for Bauman College, training chefs in a holistic approach that focuses on nutrition and sustainability. She has worked professionally in restaurants and as a personal chef, caterer, and cooking instructor in New York City and the San Francisco Bay Area. Her specialties include vegan, vegetarian, and raw cuisines, as well as macrobiotic, Ayurvedic, and gluten-free diets.
Chef Sita¹s commitment to organic, local, seasonal whole foods and fairly traded ingredients led her to her motto: Enjoy food that is good for the body, good to the Earth, and good for the welfare of the people. She is currently working on her cooking show “Twice-a-Week Vegetarian” which encourages people of all diets to choose a plant-based meal twice a week to save money and to promote better health and a lighter carbon footprint.
